Swimming in the School Pool.

Here I am swimming in the school swimming pool.  It is very cold but I am very brave!  I wanted to use the tyre but somebody else did, so I was swimming with the noodle.  My feet are not even on the bottom of the pool.

Reading to Dad.

I am reading my Acrostic Poem to my dad.  It was easy for me to read this.  Next I would like to read some poems to my dad and my mum.

Kelly Sports.

We are learning to throw and catch and play games, on Tuesday mornings at Kelly Sports, with Coach Cameron.

Who Am I?

We had to tell about ourselves.  I had to think about me and what I look like.  Then write down the words and they are the clues.  We put them into a book so that other people can read them.  They have to think about what person it might be.  It is mystery to solve!!  It was tricky to finish the clues.  Mrs Kerr says, "hurry, hurry Suhansh!"

Telling the Time.

At Maths time I was learning to tell the time on a clock or a watch or a phone or on the ipad.   On this clock here, the big hand is on the 12, and the little hand is also on the 12.  This means it is 12 o'clock.  If I change the little hand and it points to 8, then it would 8 o'clock.  If I change the big hand to the 6, it would be half past 8.  At first it was tricky to learn the time, but now it's easy.

Reading Eggs.

I do Reading eggs at school.  I don't do it at home but my brother does on his chrome book and sometimes he lets me watch him.  I had to press on the 'b' in the picture and it keeps moving around.  It is easy for me because I can just click on it.  Next I would like to go on the games.

Writing My Letters.

I am matching A, B, C, D, E capital letters with lower case letters.  It was easy for me because I can connect the letters together.  I like my orange background.

Origami Art.

On Friday the 3rd of August, some Japanese homestay students visited us from Botany College.  We chatted to them first, took them for a tour around our school, and then they helped us to fold some Origami.  My buddy helped me to make a fan.

My Shape Art.

We are learning about shapes like circles, triangles, ovals, rectangles and squares.  I made a rocket ship and I used all of the shapes.  It was tricky covering the circles because I just drew them with a pencil.  I had to use another colour to glue over.  Next time I would make another rocket ship and this time I would make it like my friend's, because hers looked better.

Blowing Bubbles.

We are outside blowing bubbles.  I can see big bubbles and I can see little bubbles.

Stardome Writing.

On Monday the 25th of June, Room 1 visited the Stardome.   We looked at planets and stars and space suits.  Here I am as an astronaut flying to the moooooooon!

When we came back to school we had to write a story about our trip.  Mrs Kerr let us choose some shapes in Tagul and then we had to import our words.  We could change the colours.  We printed them out and put them up on our space wall.  We think they look super AMAZING.  Here is my one.

Mathletics at School.

I have to press on the 5 because there are 5 apples.   I got it right because I got a tick.  Next I go on the green button.  I do counting at my house and my mum makes us study.

Reading on the Ipad.

I am learning to use the Ipad to read a QR code.  I can choose a book cover.   I scan the QR code and then the story comes up on Youtube.  It can be tricky to scan some of the books.  I enjoy it because I can listen to the story and I can watch it at the same time.  I chose this book called The Great Explorer.

Buddhist Temple Visit.

Maths Games in Room 1.

We have to look at the caterpillar and then put the right number of pegs onto the card.  I chose 5.  I have to put 5 pegs on to make the caterpillar stand up on his legs.  It's tricky to put the right number of pegs on.  You have to keep counting and checking.

Fun and Fitness.

We have been working on our fitness this term and we have been trying some new activities.  Here I am using the ladder and hurdles.

First we draw a picture from our memory.  Then we draw with the teacher, doing it very slowly.  We have to draw lines like zigzags, curves, circles and lines.  When our work is amazing, the teacher makes it bigger on the photocopier.  Then we can colour it in but we still have to BE VERY CAREFUL!  Here is our beautiful, super work from Term 1!

I am reading the big book.  I can find some words by myself.  I can't read all of the words yet.  One day I will be super reader.

Look At My Writing!

I am learning to write a recount of what I really enjoyed in the weekend.

First I drew my picture.

Then I told my story to Mrs Kerr and I wrote down the words that I already knew.

She wrote down the words I didn't know yet and I copied the words under her writing.

My work looks amazing, wonderful, beautiful and cool!
